Bauer Ridge is 30 minutes to downtown Asheville and 15 minutes to Burnsville, a quaint mountain town with cute shops, great food, and a local brewery. Hiking, skiing, zip-lining, horse riding, and river adventure opportunities are plentiful in our area. Over a hundred hiking trails: Closest to Bauer Ridge is Bailey Farm Trail. Yancey county is home to Toe River Arts and there are amazing potters and painters nearby. We are located in a Dark Sky area and Bare Observatory in Burnsville is a great place to learn about the stars.
